Terms & Conditions
There is no contract between Secrets of India and the client until we have received the payment in accordance with the procedures laid down under payment terms and conditions. The client will have to study, follow and abide by the terms and conditions of Secrets of India and absolve Secrets of India of any claims for not understanding/ reading the same.
TOUR PRICE VALIDITY
Unless specified otherwise, the offered price is valid for 15 days from the day when it is given. If there is great fluctuation in the foreign currency, the price will be revised to reflect this.
DEPOSIT, PAYMENT & ADVANCE POLICY
- On confirmation of the tour, 25% becomes due to us to be paid immediately as deposit/retainer.
- Full payment of the tour cost to be received 55 days prior to the date of arrival.
- Partial advance payment as per the relevant hotels’ requirement on case to case basis
Payment to be made :
- Through bank transfer as per the bank details provided separately giving relevant details
- Through credit card on arrival only for small amount and it involves extra bank charge
In all cases, once a booking has been guaranteed by Secrets of India (under authorization by the clients) and is cancelled, client is liable to pay for whatever cancellation charges are levied by hotels and other service providers in that particular booking. If services have been pre-paid by us as per the booking conditions of the hotels or any other vendor, there would be no refund on that count.
Please note that our cancellation policy is majorly guided by the hotels/ product owners. In extraordinary situations we do go back to them to relax their terms and conditions and on successful positive outcome of such efforts we pass on the benefits to the customers. However it is recommended that appropriate insurance policy is drawn which covers the customers from such eventuality. The table below is the general guidelines toward cancellation.

With regards to the unused/ unutilized services (those that are paid for and cancelled in advance), the refund amount will be calculated based on the cancellation policy above. Accordingly, the money will be refunded to the person who made the original payment.
OUR LIABILITIES AND LIMITATIONS
Secrets of India acts in the capacity of an agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways and contractors providing other services. All contracts and tickets, exchange orders and receipts issued by us are subject to the terms and conditions under which they provide these services.
We shall not be held responsible for any delays or alterations in the program or any expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to flight cancellations, natural hazards, breakdown of transport, accidents, breakdown of machinery or equipment, weather, illness, political closures, landslides or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to a person, property or otherwise in connection with accommodation, transportation or other services, directly or indirectly resulting from an act of God, fire, danger, accident, strikes, civil disturbances, war, customs or medical department regulations, defaults or any other conditions beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policies covering the expenses for sickness, accident, and losses due to theft or any other reason. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home countries. Also, all personal property and baggage at all times is at the client’s risk.
OBTAINING VISA AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Obtaining passports and visas shall be the sole responsibility of the passenger, who hereby undertakes not to hold Secrets of India liable under any circumstances whatsoever, for visas not applied for, refused and /or delayed documents and/ or delayed documents and/ or entries to/ from the countries visited, for the sole responsibility to grant the travel documents rests and vests with the authorities concerned. Without prejudice to the above preceding clause, an express notice is given to all concerned by Secrets of India that they shall only assist passengers in securing and obtaining the necessary travel documents to the best of their ability.
Majority of the countries fall in the e-visa category. Recommendation is to check beforehand.
All bookings once confirmed by you are not amendable. Transfer from one tour/ service to another will be treated as cancellation and the relevant cancellation charges will apply and a fresh booking will have to be made.
We strongly recommend that all our clients take travel insurance but not limited to cancellation, delays, loss of deposit, medical expenses, personal accidents, loss of baggage and personal effects. Secrets of India makes it a condition that the client is fully covered by life, property and medical insurance policy without Secrets of India cannot be held responsible for any claims.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE POLICY
Check in time is 1400 hrs and check out time is 1100 hrs.
Early arrivals are subject to availability. For a guaranteed early check-in, a reservation will need to be made starting from the previous night.
Late checkouts are available on request but are subject to availability and payment.
