Arrive in Kolkata. In the afternoon explore the colonial legacy and heritage of the city, which was the British during their rule. It’s also known as the ‘City of Processions’ and the ‘City of Joy.’
Start your day with a visit to the local flower market, followed by a trip to the Victoria Memorial, an homage to Queen Victoria. Then drive to the Howrah Bridge, a marvel of engineering. And finally we’ll visit Mother Teresa’s Ashram.

Fly from Kolkata to Guwahati, where your 3 day cruise down the mesmerizing Brahmaputra River begins. Cruise downstream while listening to the serene sounds of the water and gazing upon the epic scenery.
Today we’ll disembark the boat for an exploration on foot of a quaint river side village. Then we’ll cruise back upstream to the small town of Sualkuchi, known for its weaving traditions. Later we’ll drive to Hajo, a mystical place that is sacred to Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists.
Today we’ll stop at Pandu for a short tour of Guwahati. We’ll visit the Kamakhya temple, a mysterious place known for tantric rituals and ceremonies of animal sacrifice. Then we’ll see the Commonwealth War Cemetery, a somber yet melancholic experience. Finally, we’ll explore the fascinating river island of peacocks.

Upon reaching the Mayong river we’ll disembark and drive to the Kaziranga National Park. You’ll discover one of the most spectacular wildlife habitats in the world on an afternoon jeep safari.

Climb up onto an elephant’s back and fall in love with these gentle giants as its rhythmic gait walks you through the charming yet forlorn world of Kaziranga. If you’re lucky, you’ll come face to face with the endangered one-horned rhino, one of the most beautiful animals you’ll ever see.

Depart for Dibrugarh after visiting Sibsagar, a place renown for its ancient ruins. Powerful kings ruled Assam for 600 years and you’ll learn their epic story while touring the ruins of Ahom. Its monuments and temples are truly sights to behold.
Early this morning we’ll head to the Jokai Forest Reserve, which is known to be a birdwatching paradise. Later we’ll explore the tranquil tea gardens of Dibrugarh, and learn the complex art of tea production. And of course, you’ll have an opportunity to taste some of the unique local brews.
