Day 1


Our representative will pick you up at the Cochin Airport and take you to your hotel. On the way he’ll brief you about your tour, explains some cultural and social etiquettes, and answers questions that you might have.

Day 2


Explore Cochin, one of the oldest seaports in the country, where India carried out a lot of its trade with the West. Among the places we’ll visit are the St. Francis Church, the Chinese fishing docks and the Santa Cruz Basilica. We’ll also hit up the Kashi art gallery for some culture and a delicious South Indian coffee. In the evening, a traditional Kathakali dance will cap off an amazing day.

Day 3

Cochin – Kodikulam

After the hustle and bustle of the city it’s time for peace and quiet in Kodikulam, a small village with a leisurely pace of life. Spend the day strolling around this rural South Indian town and fall in love with its serenity and gorgeous scenery.

Day 4


Another day in this laid back paradise. We’ll take you on a walk through the local spice plantations walk, a cycling trip around the village, and then witness the fascinating process of wild honey extraction by some brave locals.

Day 5

Kodikulam - Munnar

Today we’ll head to the idyllic hill station of Munnar. The exquisite flora and fauna, waterfalls and tea plantations make for some incredible views. We’ll also have the opportunity to visit a tea factory and sample some of the tasty local brews.

Day 6


The gentle giants of India, wild elephants, are usually the highlight of our trip to the jungles of the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. We’ll go on a safari in the morning safari in hopes of seeing these regal creatures, and then a walk through a tea plantation in the afternoon, to see how harvesting takes place.

Day 7

Munnar - Periyar

The drive from Munnar to Periyar is a lovely one, with scenic vistas gracing your vision the whole way. Upon arrival we’ll head straight to the Periyar Wildlife Reserve (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and take an elephant ride through this natural sanctuary. Then we’ll finish the day with a relaxing boat ride in Periyar Lake.

Day 8


Periyar is one of the world’s most diverse nature reserves and one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is home to many rare species including tigers, leopards and Indian bison. This serene paradise will captivate you as you float down the river on a bamboo raft, and then take a leisurely stroll through the evergreen forests and marshy grasslands.

Day 9

Periyar - Kumarakom

From the jungles of Periyar to the serene backwaters of Kumarokom, it’s time to mix it up again. We’ll visit a rubber plantation to observe the process of rubber extraction and then explore the village on foot, finally ending the day watching the sunset from an idyllic houseboat.

Day 10

Kumarakom - Mararikulam

Time to head to the coast. involves a change of scene. From the tranquil backwaters of Kumarakom to the roaring waves of the Arabian Sea next to Mararikulam, the intense contrasts of India are what gives it such beauty. Take a walk along the beach and relax to the rhythm of the ocean.

Day 11


Your last full day in India is entirely up to you, spend it however you want. Lounge on the beach sipping a coconut, or explore some of the rich cultural history of the village. Our guides will be there to take you wherever you want.

Day 12

Mararikulam - Cochin

The journey comes to an end, and it’s finally time to catch your flight home. Reminisce about the many magical moments you experienced over the last two weeks, and look forward to your next trip back to Mother India.
