Be mesmerized from day one. Meet our representative and get a basic introduction to the culture and lifestyle. Later visit Durbar Square, the Old Royal Palace, the magnificent temples of Taleju and Kasthamandap, and the Palace of the living goddess Kumari.
Kathmandu - Pokhara
Embark on a Road trip to Pokhara, around 200 km away. Enjoy the incredible views of the Annapurna Mountain Range. Take a boat ride at Fewa Lake. Choose from the many interesting activities on offer and indulge in the awe-inspiring scenic splendours of the city.
Explore the city then trek to the World Peace Stupa, which is perched upon a hill overlooking Fewa Lake. Afterwards we’ll visit Tal Barahi Temple at the center of the lake, and then tour the International Mountain Museum, the Tibetan Monastery Hemja and the oldest temple in Pokhara, Bindebashini temple.
Pokhara - Chandrakot - Birethanti
Drive to Lumle for some mountain hiking and then enjoy a more leisurely walk through the agricultural fields with the lovely Gurung people. From Chandrakot we’ll walk another two hours to Lama Khet, crossing the Modi River and then staying the night at the stunning Sanctuary Lodge near the village of Birethanti.
Another long, relaxing walk along the Modi River of around 4 hours will take us to Gunrung. We’ll visit the mountain homes of the locals, and then check out the museum in the village of Tanchok. We’ll spend the night at the traditional Nepalese Gurung Lodge, where every room offers spectacular views of the mountains.
Another four hour walk will take us to the village of Dhampus. Stroll through splendid tropical forests of orchids, magnolia and rhododendron. Then visit Pothana, which has a large Tibetan community and majestic views of Annapurna and the sacred mountain Machhapuchhre. We’ll spend the night at the Basanta Lodge.
Dhampus – Kande – Pokhara
A relaxing walk lasting about one hour and thirty minutes will take us back to Pokhara. On the way we’ll pass through the small, scenic village of Kande, which is comprised of only around 400 houses. We’ll take a break to rejuvenate here and spend some time with the friendly locals, enjoying their peaceful way of life.
Pokhara – Kathmandu
Take a flight back to Kathmandu in the morning, and in the afternoon go on a private tour of the city. We’ll visit the Royal Palace at Durbar Square, the surrounding streets, the palaces of Kumari the living goddess, and the Swayambhunath Stupa, a temple perched on a hill in a small Tibetan village.
In the morning take a tour of the villages of Bungamati and Patan. Patan is called “the city of beauty,” (Lalitpur) and is known for its architectural charm. Its amazing red brick pagodas, ornate temples and majestic palaces will leave you speechless. We’ll also visit Bhaktapur, the ancient capital of the Malla kings.
