Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Delhi
Arrive into Delhi. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon explore the legacy and heritage of Mughal Delhi, pulsing with energy and colour.
Day 2
Delhi
Start your day with a visit to Jama Masjid followed by a rickshaw ride in narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. Drive past Red Fort, President House, India Gate before you reach Rajghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Your tour will take you to Humayun’s tomb and Qutab Minar.
Day 3
Delhi - Agra
An early morning train takes you to Agra. On arrival relax and unwind in your hotel, later experience Taj Mahal during sunset.
Day 4
Agra – Bandhavgarh National Park
Experience the sublimity of the TajMahal at sunrise – a varying kaleidoscope of solitude, colour and mood, followed by a visit to impressive Agra Fort.Evening board overnight train to Katni, nearest railhead to Bandhavgarh National Park.
Day 5
Bandhavgarh National Park
Transfer from the railway station to your lodge in Bandhavgarh National Park – the former hunting reserve of the Maharaja, nestled among the picturesque of Vindhya and Satpura Hills. In the afternoon enjoy your first safari into the park.
Day 6
Bandhavgarh National Park
Day is designed to experience morning and evening safaris in the park. It has the highest density of tigers in the region and chances to spot one is bright. Other animals in the park include chital deer, sambar deer, barking deer, wild boar, Nilgai antelope, four-horned antelope, Indian Bison, wild dog, leopard, blue bull, Indian fox and sloth bear.
Day 7
Bandhavgarh National Park
Another day to enjoy morning and evening safaris in to the dense Sal jungle combined with vast stretches of grasslands spread over 32 hills. An ancient 2000-year-old Fort, a 10th century statue of Lord Vishnu makes Bandhavgarh one of the most extraordinary parks in India.
Day 8
Bandhavgarh National Park - Kanha National Park
Today, drive into the most scenic Kanha National Park of India that has large open meadows where chances of spotting wildlife, including tigers, are high. Kanha is also home to the hard-ground barasingha, an endangered species of deer only found here. Time permitting you may take your first game drive in Kanha in the afternoon.
Day 9
Kanha National Park
You will experience morning and afternoon safaris into the park. Other animals regularly sighted include chital, gaur, three-striped palm squirrel, common langur, jackal, wild pig, black buck, striped hyena, leopard, mouse deer, porcupine, chinkara, sambar and ant-eating pangolin.
Day 10
Kanha National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives into the park. Elephant safaris are available locally if tigers are spotted.
Day 11
Kanha National Park - Tadoba National Park
It will be a long day today on the road depending on our choice of hotels. You will drive to TadobaAndhari Tiger Reserve that is arguably one of India’s most exciting Tiger reserves. A dense, tropical, dry, deciduous forestis largely made up of teak and bamboo, which is carved by the Andhari River and Tadoba Lake.
Day 12
Tadoba National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives into the park. Although Tadoba has a healthy population of tigers, there is a whole host of other animals, rich birdlife, reptiles and amphibians—barking deer and sambar, langur and crocodiles, leaf warblers and babblers, butterflies and Indian monitors, striped hyenaetc.—all equally unique and worth sighting.
Day 13
Tadoba National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives into the park.The palm civet may be seen on trees and flying squirrels commonly make an appearance at dusk.
Day 14
Tadoba National Park - Mumbai (via Nagpur)
An early start, you will be transferred to Nagpur airport for flight back home or via Mumbai/Delhi.
