Day 1
Arrive Delhi
Reaching Delhi our representative will meet you at the airport to take you to your hotel. On the way he will explain you certain basic etiquettes and provide you with an insight to cultural and social practices which will go a long way in enhancing the joy of your stay in India.
Day 2
Delhi
A guided tour of the Old and the New Delhi. The day commences with a visit to Jama Masjid after which a rickshaw ride will take you to labyrinthine alleys of ChandniChowk. Drive past a few of monuments and later in the day visit Humayun’s tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 3
Delhi - Jaisalmer
After witnessing Delhi’s splendour and soaking it sounds and sights board a flight to reach Jaisalmer (nearest airport Jodhpur). From the airport our representative will take you by road to Jaisalmer filling your drive with nuggets from Rajaputana. The day ends with a leisurely stroll in the market.
Day 4
Jaisalmer
Start your day with a guided tour of Jaisalmer Fort (UNESCO Site) exploring the narrow lanes on foot as you reach for the fort. Later visit BadaBagh, Patwon Ki Haveli, and the Jain Temple. In the evening get bewitched by the serene Gadsisarlake and spend rest of the time watching the picturesquesetting sun.
Day 5
Jaisalmer-Jodhpur
Leave for Jodhpur and reaching there revel in the splendour of the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort. Standing majestically on a perpendicular cliff it towers above the entire city and provides a vista that has been extensively shown in many movies. You call off your day with Bhopi and Bhopa folk performance.
Day 6
Jodhpur - Udaipur
Continue by road travelling through the scenic Aravalli Hills to Udaipur. En-route visit Ranakpur-renowned for some marvelously carved Jain temples.Reaching Udaipur take a boat ride on Lake Pichola, which is an artificial fresh water lake with which your day also ends.
Day 7
Udaipur
Known for its huge water bodies Udaipur is also known as the city of lakes. Your tour commences with the City Palace overlooking in all its splendour on the bank of Lake Pichola. Experience local life in its thriving bazaars after which visit Sahelyonki Bari gardens and Jagdish Temple thereafter.
Day 8
Udaipur - Pushkar
From Udaipur to Pushkar is a scenic journey. Known for its unique distinction as the only place in the whole of world that has a temple dedicated to one of the holy triumvirate, Lord Brahma. Pushkaris also famous for its annual cattle fair and its picturesque holy lake.
Day 9
Pushkar - Jaipur
After soaking yourself in the religious and cultural fervor of Pushkar you leave for the pink city, Jaipur. The capital of the state of Rajasthan it has had a hoary past known for its forts, palaces, astronomical observatory, cuisine and jewellery. A walking trip in its old bazaar is the highlight of the evening.
Day 10
Jaipur
Get on to a guided tour of Jaipur, which will start from the magnificent Amber Fort. Take an elephant back ride if you prefer not to walk on its ascending pathway. Later, discover the bygone charm of the City Palace and indulge in some astronomical calculations at Observatory.
Day 11
Jaipur - Agra
Leave by road for Agra visiting on the way FatepurSikri(a UNESCO Heritage site), an erstwhile capital city planned on a grand scale but abandoned shortly afterwards for lack of water. Also visit Red Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb. Revel in the sunset view of the TajMahal from across the river at MetabBagh.
Day 12
Agra - Orchha
Early morning visit the TajMahal (a UNESCO Heritage site) to view the magnificent mausoleum at the sunrise. Get bewitched by its romantic tale and the architectural details. Later take a train to Orchha, a quaint princely estate. Participate in the evening Aarti at Raja Ram Temple.
Day 13
Orchha - Khajuraho
Morning in Orchhais one of the most breathtaking experiences. Early in the day you will be involved with the guided tour of the striking Orchha Fort complex followed by a walk in the nearby village. Thereafter continue by road to mysterious Khajuraho (UNESCO Site) and get bewitched its erotic sculptures.
Day 14
Khajuraho - Varanasi
From Khajuraho hop on a short flight to Varanasi.Enjoy in the evening a leisurely boat ride adjacent to the holy Ganga River, thereafter watch the mesmerizing play of light and chants at the Ganga Aarti to honour the Goddess River. It is difficult to remain unaffected by the divine incantations.
Day 15
Varanasi
Early morning is one of the best times to observe life along the river. Take a boat and watch a unique mix of devotion, spirituality and piety. The walk later in the labyrinthine alleys of the old city is another of the city’s unique experience. Leave in the afternoon for Sarnath, where Buddha preached his first sermon.
Day 16
Varanasi - Delhi
The day you leave India. From Varanasi take a flight for Delhi from where board your homebound plane. Watching the ancient land as you soar in the sky you wonder whether you have unraveled the mysteries that hides within its voluminous folds.
