Day 1
Kathmandu
Landing in Kathmandu is like entering a magical land. Meet our representative and visit later in the afternoon places such as Durbar Square, the Old Royal Palace, the magnificent temples of Taleju and Kasthamandap apart from the Palace of the living goddess Kumari.
Day 2
Kathmandu
Start your day with a visit to Swyambhunath Temple and Pashupatinath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located 6 kilometers in the valley. Later visit Boudhanath, one of the largest stupas in the world dedicated to Lord Buddha and explore the alleys of much touristy Thamel.
Day 3
Kathmandu
On the third day of your stay in Kathmandu visit Patan Durbar Square. Popularly known as ‘the city of artisans’ it is known for its architectural splendour. Later drive 12 km to reach Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Known for its temples it is considered to be the smallest city in the Kathmandu valley.
Day 4
Kathmandu –Pokhara
Road trip to Pokhara, 210 km. Enjoy the incredible views of Annapurna I (8091 m) and IV, the Machhapuchhre (6977 m). Take a boat ride at Fewa Lake. The day is filled with lots of interesting activities and take you some of the awe-inspiring scenic splendours of the city.
Day 5
Pokhara –Jomsom
Board your plane and reach Jomsom, a major trade route for centuries. After arrival embark on the trip to Muktinath (3,710 m) and Kagbeni (2,810 m).Thereafter drive to Jharkot and exploring its Gompa leave for Muktinath, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Day 6
Jomsom - Ghami
Embark on a 4-5 hours drive in a jeep to Ghamivillage. Visit on the way the three villages of Tangbe, Chhusang and Ghilling.On the way ascendthe Nyi-La pass (3,950 m) and stop for some time for the breathtaking views of Nilgiri and Annapurna mountains. Thereafter descend along colorful rock formations to the village of Ghami.
Day 7
Ghami – Lo Manthang
Amongst the highly adventurous days. Drive through the beautiful villages of Dragmar, Tsarang and a 1200 year old GharGompa until you reach (5-6 hours) Lomanthang. Later climb above the valley to a large isolated Chorten that marks the boundary between Tsarang and Lo.
Day 8
Lo Mathang
There is so much to do and see that you just have enough of this magical city. Some beautiful caves in the Lo Mathang Valley reach a height of 4 storeys. After which meet the ex-royals (subject to their availability & permission) at the summer palace.Also trot on the back of Mustang horses to get around the Valley.
Day 9
Lo Mathang – Jomsom
Hit the roads for a drive that will last 7-8 hours for journey back to Jomsom. Stop often on the way to relish the nature’s grandeur and to take photos. Interact with people you meet on the way and learn about their life, culture and beliefs. Overnight at Jomsom.
Day 10
Jomsom – Pokhara – Kathmandu
Fly back to Pokhara and board a connecting flight to reach Kathmandu. This will be your last night in the country. Spend the time reliving the memories trying to nick time to go out and enjoy the heady atmosphere. Surely you will miss them.
Day 11
Kathmandu
Catch your international flight back home. As your plane soars high up in the air your will witness a carpet of magical cornucopia spread on the earth below. Try to identify the places you have learned about as the sun’s rays casts its glow over the Himalayan mountains.
