Day 1

Kolkata

After your flight lands in Kolkata (erstwhile Calcutta) our representative will meet you and take you to your hotel providing you with the glimpse of the city. In the afternoon explore the legacy and heritage of Kolkata.

Day 2

Kolkata

First thing in the morning visit the captivating flower market and after soaking in the fragrance and witnessing the unique spectacle roam around in the massive precincts of Victoria Memorial. Later drive to Mother Teresa’s Ashram.

Day 3

Kolkata -Kalimpong

Fly from Kolkata to Bagdogra and from there continue north by road through verdant forested hills and reach Kalimpong. Evening at leisure to relax and unwind and to chat, share and experience the mesmerizing vista.

Day 4

Kalimpong

Start you day with a walk through local villages. Later go on an exploration of the ancient Buddhist monasteries that dot the landscape. See from close quarters the traditional Tibetan medicine at the one of its kind School of Tibetan Medicine at the Ringkinpong Monastery.

Day 5

Kalimpong – Gangtok

A drive through scenic tea estates will take you to Gangtok, the capital of the state of Sikkim. It’s journey back in time when life was not hectic and you could watch time go by. Stop en route to capture some romantic vista in your camera.

Day 6

Gangtok

The day commences lazily. First of all witness the unmatched Buddhist spectacle at the Rumtek Monastery. Follow it by a visit to the Research Institute of Tibetology and thereafter visit Do-Drul Chorten accompanied by stunning landscape accompanying you all through the day.

Day 7

Gangtok - Yangsum

It’s literally a drive above the clouds to a tranquil hillside farm. See them waft as you find yourself lost in the pristine chirping of birds and the whirring cicadas in their natural abodes. Yes, you will miss them when you drive back.

Day 8

Yangsum

It’s your day. Spend it the way you want to. If you are so inclined explore the village and monastery or get involved in the activities at Yangsum farm. Or interact with the people; understand their worldview all in the backdrop of Khangchendzonga(Kanchenjunga).

Day 9

Rinchenpong - Darjeeling

Drive to Darjeeling, one of India’s oldest and most visited hill stations. Even though taken over by rampant tourism the town still manages to retain somewhat of its colonial character and the Toy Train that runs here is in UNESCO World Heritage List.

Day 10

Darjeeling

Start your day with an excursion to Tiger Hill. If the weather permits enjoy the breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest in the yonder. Later visit Ghoom monastery, famous for its 15 ft.statue of Maitreya Buddha (Coming Buddha).

Day 11

Darjeeling

One of the most enchanting experiences awaits you today. Hop on the world famous Darjeeling Hill Railway that winds around the hills, runs along narrow roads and on certain place literally skirting markets. Later visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute.

Day 12

Darjeeling Delhi

Drive to Bagdogra(if time permits and you are so inclined you can take the scenic road passing through picturesque forests to the charming Mirik Lake) and catch the plane to Delhi from where the connecting flight will take you home.
