Detailed Journey

Day 1

Calcutta

Arrive in Kolkata (erstwhile Calcutta). You will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon explore the colonial legacy and heritage of Kolkata, the first capital of British in India.

Day 2

Calcutta - Chandipur

Start your day with a visit to the banks of the River Hooghly. Later roam in the massive precincts of the Victoria Memorial and go for a stroll on the Howrah Bridge.And leave later for Chandipur.

Day 3

Chandipur - Bhubaneshwar

Explore the leisurely pattern of life in Chandipur. Visit fisherman’s village, worship deities at the local temples and relax on the beaches. After which leave for Bhubaneshwar with a stopover at Ratnagiri and Udaigiri caves.

Day 4

Bhubaneshwar - Taptapani

From Bhubaneshwar take a tour of Taptapani, famous for its hot water springs. En route, you will visit the local weaving villages and take a cruise on Chilika Lake, which is home to many migratory birds.

Day 5

Taptapani - Raygada

Leave for Raygada to get a glimpse of a lifestyle of entirely a different kind. Living in harmony with nature the village of Sauba tribe en route will bring you face to face with their simplicity and their unique art.

Day 6

Raygada - Kottagarh – Raygada

Go for an excursion to Kottagarh and walk around the village of the Kundh tribes. Peep inside their thatched homes made of mud, interact with them in sign language and later get a glimpse of their pre-modern local market.

Day 7

Raygada - Jeypore

Explore Chatikona and visit the village of the Dhongi Kondh tribes. Later return to Raygada to head for Jeypore. You will visit the local tribal villages. Their giggles and natural hospitality will amaze you.

Day 8

Jeypore - Onukudelli - Jeypore

The day starts with an excursion to picturesque Onukudelli where you will visit the Bonda local market and tribes. You will also visit the Gadaba tribal villages where you can witness the traditional tribal dance called Demsa.

Day 9

Jeypore - Bhubaneshwar

Visit Gupteswar caves dedicated to Lord Shiva first thing in the morning. You will also visit the villages of the Dhurava tribes. Later in the evening board the night train to Bhubaneshwar.

Day 10

Bhubaneshwar - Puri

Start your tour of Bhubaneshwar with a visit to its main temples. The architecture unlike you have seen anywhere in India is unique and makes use of local building materials. The day will leave you with sublime experience.

Day 11

Puri

In the morning catch the sun’s ray illuminate the Konark temple, one of poster-monuments of India tourism. Return to Puri to revel in the sight of Jagannath temple, famous for its Chariot Festival. Unwind in the evening by the waves of Bay of Bengal.

Day 12

Puri - Bhubaneshwar - Delhi

Leave the leisurely Puri re-calling on the way your awe at the sand sculptures and remembering your interactions with the artists for Bhubaneshwar. At the airport board your flight to Delhi.

Day 13

Delhi

Reaching Delhi go for a tour of Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid and the bustling Chandni Chowk. With a stopover at Rajghat and India Gate you will to your hotel and thereafter head towards the airport for your flight back home.
