Delhi – Leh
Leave early for your flight to Leh. After reaching your hotel use the day to acclimatize yourself to its height. Day at leisure. If you feel relaxed, you can visit Shanti Stupa to enjoy the breath taking views of the city.
Be a part of morning prayers at Thikse Monastery. It is a 12 story structure and a fine example of Ladakhi architecture. Thereafter visit Hemis monastery followed by Shey monastery, the royal residence of the past.
Leh - Alchi
Today’s drive will take you to a lovely town of Alchi. Though Alchi is 2 hrs drive from Leh, however it takes longer as you would like to stop at Indus and Zanskar river confluence, a lovely Sikh temple, Magnetic Hill and many other breath taking photo stops.
Get the experience of life at Alchi, a small town located at the bank of Indus River.It is known for its ancient temples and is located in the heart of the local market. Later we will visit the spellbinding Lamayuru.
Alchi – Leh
Head back for Leh this morning, en-route visit the ruins of Basgo and Likir Monasteries. On arrival in Leh, you will be on your on to enjoy a walk in the local bazaars or rest in your hotel or to explore the local life and culture.
Leh - Nubra Valley
A long day. It will begin with a road journey towards the world’s highest motorable road ending at the Nubra Valley. Lots of photo stops in between. After arrival spend the rest of the day at leisure to relax and unwind.
An hour’s drive in the valley will take you to Samstanling Monastery. It is one of the more modern monasteries. Afternoon spent riding through the Hundar sand dunes on camelback. Stunning vista awaits you all around.
Nubra Valley – Leh
Drive back to Leh. Rest of the day is at leisure. Spent it reminiscing about the landscape and its people. Better still go for a leisurely stroll, interact with people, talk to them about their hardy life, be one with them.
Leh - Delhi
Head to the airport to catch your flight to Delhi, from where take the plane back to your country. Share your memories of the time and experiences you have had. Surely you would like to come back again.
